Life and Work Experience

-Co-Founder and Head of The Mountain Movement, an HIV/AIDS awareness and fundraising campaign (2005-present).

-An avid interest and developing expertise in hiking, mountaineering, climbing, scrambling, camping, and backcountry travel. A newfound interest in alpine touring and ice climbing.

-A model for Paul Zizka Photography (2005-present).

-A member of the Alpine Club of Canada (ACC), where I sit on the Mountain Culture Committee, as well as the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) and Interpretive Guides Association (IGA).

-Appeared in video documentary Wild Hearts: Women Explorers (2008), a film by artist Bia Gayotto. According to the artist’s website, “Wild Hearts: Women Explorers is a collaboration with twelve women adventurers, climbers, hikers, runners and kayakers living in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Inspired by the work of 19th Century explorers Mary Vaux and Mary Schaefer, this split-screen video installation juxtaposes timed-shots of the Cascade Mountain with documentary footage of the women traversing the landscape.” Film was entered in the 2008 Banff Mountain Film Festival.

-Interest in travel, foreign languages, travel writing, and travel photography. Have travelled to Mexico, Cuba, Trinidad and Tobago, Saba, Dominica, Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, Sint Maarten, Costa Rica, and the United States.

-Have work experience in destination management, the service/hospitality industry, food and beverage, and retail environments.
